SMOOTH HORN SMOKING PIPE
This magnificent smooth Horn pipe is made by German artisan Michaela Daniels. The pipe offers almost unbelievable bird-eye patterns on the Foot and Shank area, tight-lines of briar on the both sides and top of the Tobacco Chamber. Here, the whole pipe's structure expresses marvelously stretched and broadened form with dynamic manner, as if the artisan makes it on purpose to create such a beauty. The composition of the shape and grain appears to be in the best way. With the great attention to the shape, finish, stability, and texture of the grain, we can say this beautiful Horn is very remarkable. Charming bird-eye finish (at the Foot) of the briar adds a great value on this pipe. This item can be appreciated by the smokers, who like the combination of Horn and bird eye finish.
About the Artist
Michaela Daniels was born in Germany. As a daughter of a pipemaker, Kalus Hahn, she became very familiar with smoking pipes even when she was only a small girl. She always has the great passion to carve her own pipe. So, she started to carve her own handmade pipes at 2013 and under her father's supervision. Having such a great teacher like Kalus Hahn, she learned almost all the important techniques; how to choose the good grains of briars, how to carve a pipe, and how to stain and finish them. Since that time, she carved and finished lots of smoking pipes with very high quality; different shapes, different sizes and different colors.
Michaela Daniels and her father pick the high quality briar one by one and by checking the root grain. Most of her pipes exhibit almost unbelievable bird eye patterns integrataed with dazzling lines of briar. The handmade mouthpieces are made exclusively from Para rubber, generally without a filter.
